Greetings colleagues,
I am humbled by the faith and trust you've placed in me and I am looking forward to a journey full of success for our faculty and university.
I would like to extend my gratitude to all who made this moment possible. From the members of the university administration who worked tirelessly around the clock to organize the whole process, to my esteemed competitors, Dr. Victor Mobegi and Dr. Geoffrey Okeng’o, who brought their best to the field and ran brave and bold campaigns. I wish you better luck in the future.
To my incredible team: those who saw in me a capability I had yet to discover and encouraged me to go for it; and those who championed my cause and tirelessly supported me through every single bit of the way, your dedication and spirit are the true engines of this victory. Your unwavering support was my guiding star. The hours you invested, the words you spread, and the confidence you instilled, have been the most precious gifts.
Now, to you my esteemed colleagues who voted, you were the most important ingredient in the whole process. Indeed a 75% voter turnout is a clear testimony that you take the position of senate representative seriously. I am deeply conscious of the privilege and honour.
This victory is not just a testament to our hard work but a beacon of what we can achieve together in the days to come. As I had earlier indicated, the solution to the problems and challenges we face as a faculty, will only be solved if we all work together as a team. Not a one man or woman show.
I pray that we carry this momentum forward and transform every challenge into an opportunity for growth.
Thank you, and let's keep winning, together!
