6th Annual Conference of the Faculty of Science and Technology

UoN & French Partners Begin the Journey towards the Creation of the Engineering and Science Complex (ESC)

On Monday, July 3rd, 2023, the University of Nairobi kick-started a significant venture in cooperation with notable French higher education institutions. The Tripartite Partnership Agreement (TPA) was inaugurated, marking the start of a transformative journey towards the creation of the Engineering and Science Complex (ESC).

Collaborations with Thomas More University of Applied Sciences

In 2021, The University of Nairobi and Thomas More University of Applied Sciences signed a collaborative agreement MOU that has seen more than 40 University of Nairobi students taking part in Virtual exchange in form of Collaborative Online International Learning with Thomas More University of Applied Sciences, Antwerp, Belgium. Faculty members from both universities have also had the opportunity to visit and benchmark.

2023 NIW -Technology & Innovation in the Evolving Job Market.

The 2023 Nairobi Innovation Week place took place on 17th-19th May 2023 On the 17th of May 2023. The three day event provided an opportunity for innovators, start-ups, entrepreneurs, government agencies, funders and academia to showcase their innovations, products, programmes and services all contributing to growing the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.

NIW INFLUENCER AWARD

We are proud to announce the first-ever Nairobi Innovation Week Influencer Award, organized by the University of Nairobi. This unique competition is a fantastic opportunity to showcase, recognize, and reward the most influential figures in Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI).

62 students from FST Awarded for exemplary Performance at the Students Recognition Awards

62 students from the faculty were among the 800 recepients honored during the Students’ Recognition Awards Ceremony held on May 5, 2023 in Taifa Hall.  Kamau Ummi Gitau received the award for the best student in academic performance in the Faculty. The award ceremony is conducted to honor the students for exemplary performance in various categories; students’ talents, innovation and entrepreneurship, Corporate Social Responsibility, leadership, volunteerism, sports and games, and other extra-curricular activities.
