A total of 275 students were awarded various prizes from donors during the 3rd Prize Presentation Ceremony held on Friday, May 6, 2022
a total of 474 awards that ranged from gold medals, cash prizes and trophies from over 100 donors and partners were awarded to the students from 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic years.

Prof. Jacob O. Midiwo will be giving a public lecture on his journey as a researcher in Natural Products Chemistry. Prof Midowo's topic will be on “Secondary metabolites from African medicinal plants: chemotaxonomic markers and potential prototypes of medicines for neglected tropical diseases

Two University of Nairobi students Christine Wambui Wanjau and Gloria Keya Kaleha were part of the creative force that won The 2021 Microsoft Student Hackathon competition. The four-member team created a rapid response deforestation sensor called Forest Guard powered by Microsoft Azure and IoT Technologies.
