UON Hosts CSA AFRICA 2025 Python Workshop

The University of Nairobi's Department of Computing and Informatics opened its doors to 217 participants from seven African countries on July 14, 2025, marking the commencement of the Computer Science Academy (CSA) Africa 2025 Python Workshop. The three-week intensive programme represents a significant milestone in African digital capacity building, drawing from an impressive pool of 437 applications.

University of Nairobi Hosts EASY-ML 2025

The East-African School for Young Researchers on Advanced Machine Learning Techniques (EASY-ML 2025) officially opened at the University of Nairobi on July 9th, marking a significant milestone in interdisciplinary research training in Africa. This prestigious two-week residential program, running from July 9 to 22, brings together 40 early-career researchers and postgraduate students 30 from Kenya and 10 from neighboring countries spanning diverse fields such as physics, biology, chemistry, geosciences, and economics.

UoN Co-Hosts Landmark Land Reform Conference

The University of Nairobi reinforced its national leadership in land governance research and policy dialogue by co-hosting the 4th Regional Research Conference on Land and Natural Resources, held from May 20 to 22, 2025, at the Kenya School of Government. Convened under the theme “Taking Stock of the Land Reform Progress in Kenya,” the conference was organized by the National Land Commission in collaboration with the University of Nairobi, the National Research Fund, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and other esteemed partners.
