UON Launch Solar Rooftop Project at Chiromo Campus

The official commissioning of the solar rooftop project was held on Tuesday, 4th April 2023 at Chiromo campus. The solar lighting project will provide a reliable, affordable, and sustainable power supply in Chiromo campus.

The lack of access to electricity imposes major constraints on modern economic activities of the university, partnerships with industry, and the provision of public services, the adoption of new technologies, and the quality of student life.

COLLABORATIVE ONLINE INTERNATIONAL LEARNING (COIL) COURSE: TACKLING GLOBAL CHALLENGES

The University of Nairobi in collaboration with Thomas More University invites applications for the second Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) courses on Tackling Global Challenges course. This will be an elective course for all students who want to learn more about other cultures or collaborate on impact topics with students at Thomas More, Ghana and Kenya.  The backbone of the course will be Sustainable Development Goals and activities will include individual assignments, portfolio, group project, presentation focus on working in interdisciplinary and Intercultural teams.

5th Annual Conference of the Faculty of Science and Technology -research week 2022

The University of Nairobi’s Annual Research Week for the Faculty of Science and Technology was one for the books. The virtual conference that began on the 26th of October 2022, themed ‘Emerging Research and Technologies for Sustainable Development in Society’ was attended by doyens in the science and technology industry, all of whom have greatly contributed to the sustainability of technology for the continuous growth of society.
